The Power Center
The Power Center was a unique renovation project of 105,000 sq. ft. of a former K-Mart store to include the following facilities:

• The Imani School
• Jesse Jones Banquet Facility / Commercial kitchen
• Chase Bank
• Lobby

St. Johns United Methodist Church
Center for Hope (Education Building)

• As Owner’s Representative for the Center for Hope we facilitated the new construction of the three story mid-town facility. This facility includes a school, offices and assembly area.
• GEJ lead the construction of this facility that feeds, consults and provides health care to the homeless. Facility includes: commercial kitchen, barber/beauty salon, examines rooms and shower accommodations.

Knowles Rowland Gym

• GEJ also serves as Owner’s Representatives of the new construction of the Knowles Rowland gym/youth center. The gym is named after Destiny’s Child stars Beyonce Knowles and Kelly Rowland. It will be equipped with a basketball area, exercise equipment and arcade games.

Sanctuary (Interior) Historical 1917

• As Owner’s Representatives of this renovation of St. John’s 1911 mid-town sanctuary into a State of the Art facility for the performing arts. Sanctuary includes theatrical lighting and concert quality audio system.

Greater St. Mathews Baptist Church

• As Project Managers we oversaw the new construction of Greater St. Matthews Baptist Church’s worship center. Master planning for their 9-acre tract.

Urban Housing

• Antioch Courts 1st Housing block
• Consultant to a Community Development Corporation (CDC) /non-profit in the development of affordable housing in a neglected urban area near downtown Houston.

Master Site Plan for Corinthian Pointe

• As Owner’s Representatives of this project, GEJ is responsible for the Master Planning and representation of the 105-acre project. Corinthian Pointe will include Commercial, Religious, Recreational, Educational and Housing Components.
